In a surprise move, conservatives like Sarah Palin are praising Ashton Kutcher for his inspiring speech at the Teen Choice Awards. INSIDE EDITION has the scoop.
Ashton Kutcher's rousing speech at the Teen Choice Awards is winning praise today from an unlikely source—Sarah Palin.
Kutcher told his young fans to work hard.
"I believe that opportunity looks a lot like hard work. When I was 13 I had my first job with my dad carrying shingles up to the roof. Then, I got a job washing dishes at a restaurant. Then, I got a job in a grocery store deli. Every job I had was a stepping stone to my next job, and I never quit my job until I had my next job," said Kutcher.
He actually made the inspiring and thoughtful speech on August 11, but it's taken a while to percolate across the country. Now, conservatives are gushing with praise.
Sarah Palin wrote on her Facebook page: "Good to see his Iowa roots shining through all that Hollywood glitter! Kudoss to Ashton for speaking out for America's youth."
And firebrand radio host Rush Limbaugh called the speech uplifting: "What he said is exactly what young people in this country need to hear."
The praise is surprising, considering Kutcher is a big-time supporter of President Obama. He donated $50,000 to Democratic causes last year. But good advice is good advice, no matter what your politics.
