Lady Gaga fans have been concerned about rumors she is facing health issues. The pop star spoke about the rumors on Larry King Live and shared her diagnosis. INSIDE EDITION has the details.
An uncharacteristically subdued Lady Gaga reveals that she's at risk for developing lupus.
In a rare interview, the 24-year-old international superstar addressed those internet rumors that she has the autoimmune disease. Her aunt actually died from lupus .
"I have tested borderline positive for the disease. Lupus is in my family and it is genetic," said Gaga.
She continued, "As of right now, I do not have it, but I have to take good care of myself."
Doctor Robert Lahita of Newark Beth Israel Medical Center says if Gaga develops lupus, her pop star schedule would have a negative impact on her condition.
"We do know with regard to autoimmune diseases, that stress makes the diseases worse. Getting before an audience of 50,000 people can be very stressful events, and will make the disease worse," said Dr. Lahita.
Despite facing this threat to her health, Gaga had a little fun with Larry King, saying, "Shall I call you Larry, or King Larry?"
"Well, King Larry would be a great honor, but let's do Larry, and I'll call you Gaga," said King.
Known for her outrageous ensembles, Lady Gaga appeared by satellite from London wearing sequined suspenders, a witty nod to King's signature look.
