Genevieve Sabourin was found guilty and sentenced to jail for stalking Alec Baldwin. INSIDE EDITION has details from the dramatic moments in court.
The woman accused of stalking Alec Baldwin was found guilty on all counts at the trial the entire nation is talking about.
The judge threw the book at Genevieve Sabourin, sentencing her to 180 days in jail. Tack on another 30 days for contempt he'd already given her for constant disruptions in the courtroom.
A sobbing Sabourin told the judge, "I've done nothing wrong. You're making a mistake," before she was led away in handcuffs.
Her lawyer, Todd Spodek spoke outside court, saying, "I think Alec Baldwin played a pivotal role here. I think he took the stand and was discredited. I think they did have a relationship and he tried to hide that."
Before being led off to jail, Sabourin finally gave her side of the story, testifying about what she said was a night of passionate lovemaking with Baldwin at the swanky Lowell Hotel on New York City's Upper East Side.
She said her dream date with Baldwin took place on Valentine's Day three years ago when he picked her up and promised her a night to remember.
"When I came out he just presented his arm and it was very warm. It was a very beautiful, romantic evening from that moment," she testified.
They drove in a limo through Central Park, then went to a Broadway show.
Later that evening, she said he whisked her off to Elio's restaurant on the Upper East Side for an intimate candlelight dinner. Then, it was back to the Lowell Hotel for a nightcap. That's when things got heated, she claims.
"He told me many things that probably any woman would like to hear from the men they're talking to and so we made love," testified Sabourin.
She says after their lovemaking Baldwin told her: "I make the best omelets in the world and I'd be happy to make you omelets every morning for the rest of your life."
But, she says when she woke up the next morning he was gone, leaving her only his email address.
Baldwin denies any romance and says all he did was have dinner together to give her "career advice."
INSIDE EDITION asked HLN's Nancy Grace for her reaction.
"It doesn't matter if they were ever lovers, if they were lovers right now, if they had sex on the rooftop. I don't care. That does not justify stalking. She needs to go to jail," said Grace.
The Manhattan District Attorney released surveillance video of Genevieve Sabourin pacing the lobby of Baldwin's East Village apartment building on Easter Sunday 2012.
And prosecutors released dozens of obsessive emails she sent Baldwin that included: "I will get to you. Not to hurt you or harm you in any way....but simply to straighten your (blank) out, because you have humiliated me for the last time!!"
What was Baldwin's reaction to the verdict? Just hours later, he lashed out at photographers who were staking out his apartment building.
Baldwin shouted, "Get away from my kid with the camera. You know what's going to happen to you, don't you? Come on!"
