The White House hosted a State Dinner for the French president but all eyes were on our first lady Michelle Obama. INSIDE EDITION has the story.
Michelle Obama is winning raves for the gown she wore at Tuesday night's White House State Dinner for the president of France.
The first lady's Carolina Herrera gown featured an embroidered black lace top with a flowing silk dress in liberty blue. There was also an unusual addition to the dress for the first lady—sleeves covered her famously toned arms. The ensemble cost $12,000.
Oscar nominee Bradley Cooper was among the guests with his model girlfriend. Julia Louis-Dreyfus, the star of Veep, came with her French-born father, and she posed for a photo with the real life Vice President Joe Biden.
R&B superstar Mary J. Blige performed. Former NBA star Jason Collins, the first openly gay professional basketball player, arrived with his date, Hollywood movie producer, Brunson Green.
Collins tweeted: 'I wonder if the FLOTUS can save a dance for me tonight."
But Collins was out of luck. The French president, now involved in a scandalous love affair after dumping the first lady of France, came solo. So, there was no dancing to avoid the embarrassment of finding a dance partner.
