Philadelphia 76ers Make Down Syndrome Teen's Hoop Dream Come True

INSIDE EDITION was with 18-year-old Kevin Grow, who suffers from Down syndrome, as he made his NBA debut with Philadelphia 76ers, thanks to a viral video of him playing basketball.

It's a dream-come-true for any kid to be introduced at center court with an NBA team. But one kid surrounded by the Philadelphia 76ers teammates has Down syndrome and has become an overnight internet sensation.

Video of 18-year-old Kevin Grow went viral after he made four three pointers in two minutes for Bensalem High School outside Philadelphia. Kevin was team manager for four years. His coach put him in for the final game of the season and the rest is history.

INSIDE EDITION spoke with his parents Dorothy and Earl.

Earl said, “Two minutes of his life has changed him.”

When the 76ers saw Kevin’s incredible feat on the web, they signed him to an honorary two-day contract.
