Monica Lewinsky was photographed for Vanity Fair magazine. Dressed in a summery white belted dress, she beams as she reclines on a vivid red sofa.
The intern at the center of the historic 1998 presidential sex scandal writes a first-person piece on "Shame and Survival" for the magazine, saying she was made a scapegoat.
But now, she says it's time to "burn the beret and bury the blue dress." A reference to the headgear in that famous shot of her with President Clinton, and to the infamous dress she wore during an oval office liaison with the president.
Hard to believe, but the ex-intern turns 41 in July and until today, has largely stayed out of the public spotlight.
Video of her dancing near actor Kelsey Grammer and his wife was taken at a Rolling Stones concert in Los Angeles last year. Nobody really paid much attention to her. She was also photographed looking dowdy outside her mother's New York apartment.
Coincidently, Hillary Clinton who is contemplating a run for president in 2016 spoke today in
Maryland. No doubt not thrilled about the return of Monica Lewinsky.
