A man was woken up in the middle of the night by a giant bear. Now video of the incident is sweeping the internet. INSIDE EDITION has the story.
A guy asleep on his couch got a rude awakening in the middle of the night when suddenly the front door slammed open.
Who could it be? Would you believe it's a bear? The glowing eyes in a surveillance video belong to a 400 pound black bear and the uninvited guest didn't want to leave.
Will LaToruelle's bear encounter is sweeping the internet.
INSIDE EDITION's Jim Moret asked, "I would be terrified. You seemed like, 'Hey there is a bear, no big deal.' What were you thinking? What were you feeling?"
He said, "Honestly, I was more annoyed than anything that he woke me up."
A surprised Moret said, "What?!"
"Not scared at all," LaToruelle said.
He showed INSIDE EDITION the security cameras that captured the curious bear bounding up to his front door in Glendora, California, an hour east of Los Angeles.
He could be seen screaming and yelling but the bear stood his ground.
Moret asked, "Are you yelling or saying anything to the bear?"
He said, "I was yelling, 'Get out!' and he wasn't listening. He was being very unreasonable."
LaToruelle switched on the light and waved his arms and finally the bear retreated.
One question everyone is asking, why are security cameras in the living room? On Good Morning America, Robin Roberts asked, "Are there cameras everywhere?"
Moret asked LaToruelle why he had a camera in his living room. He said, "Just security purposes."
Security cameras are always a good idea, but if he really wants to be safe, he should probably start by locking his front door.
