INSIDE EDITION has a psychologist analyze Mel Gibson's disturbing rant that was caught on audiotape to give some insight into the actor's mental state.
"I need a woman, not a (expletive deleted) little girl with a (expletive deleted) dysfunctional (expletive deleted)!"
Mel Gibson exploded in rage, hyperventilating like an out-of-control madman in a just released tape.
"Don't you dare hang up on me!"
At one point, Mel Gibson was so overcome with anger at his ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva, he gasped for eight full seconds before continuing his tirade.
"You don't care. You don't care," Gibson said.
INSIDE EDITION played the disturbing recording of Gibson's rant for psychologist Jeff Gardere.
"He is now at a primal state and that's why you hear the breathing and the ranting and the barking and he has completely lost it...he has lost all reason at this point," Gardere said.
In the audio tape obtained by Radar Online, it seems that Gibson is slurring his words saying, "I don't need medication!"
Gardere says the actor may have been drinking but beyond that, the call reveals much deeper problems.
Gibson shouted, "You need a (expletive deleted) bat to the side of the head! All right? How about that?"
Gardere said, "Whatever he's saying to her are things that he's been storing up for some time. Being drunk, if he is drunk, if there is alcohol here, all it does is enable you to be able to break through all the boundaries, emotional boundaries, and to be able to say the things that you've been thinking about for quite a while."
At one point, Gibson also made a blatant death threat. "I'll put you in a (expletive deleted) rose garden, you (expletive deleted)! You understand that? Because I'm capable of it."
And, Gibson blamed his ex for his behavior. Gardere says that's a classic trait of an abuser.
"It's the blame game where Mel is saying, you, you, you, you, you make me feel this way. At this point he sees himself completely as the victim," Gardere said.
