It is hard to believe but an obese man is heir to a Hollywood dynasty.
His name is Jess Brolin. He's the kid brother of the Oscar-nominated actor Josh Brolin. His father is veteran actor James Brolin. His stepmother is none other than Barbra Streisand.
But while his family members lead lives of comfort and affluence, 41-year-old Jess is rummaging through a garbage can. It's estimated that he weighs 350 pounds.
Photos of Jess were taken in the tranquil town of Ojai, California, near Santa Barbara.
In a statement, Josh Brolin, the star of No Country for Old Men and Men in Black 3, said his brother is not on the skids.
He said, "Jess is gainfully employed and supports himself. If Jess were ever in need of support or any assistance, there would never be a question his family and friends would be there for him."
Jess and Josh are the sons of James Brolin and his first wife, Jane Cameron Agee, who was killed in a car crash in 1995.
Jess grew up in affluence and wealth, a far cry from the affluent life of his famous family.
