Kanye West is facing more backlash over his on stage stunt with Beck, and some of it’s coming from other celebs. INSIDE EDITION has more.
There's growing backlash over Kanye West storming the stage after Beck won the Grammy for Album of the Year instead of Beyoncé.
Kanye said, "Beck needs to respect artistry and he should have given his award to Beyoncé."
Paul Stanley of KISS was blunt on his Facebook page, writing: "Beck should've kicked #Kanye right in the (blank) and said 'Get the (blank) off MY stage!'"
Al Roker also took Kanye to task, saying, "Are you that egotistical, or that needy that you have to do something like that?"
But, some thought Kanye's interruption of Beck was all in good fun. John Legend said, "I thought it was funny. Anybody who's upset just needs to relax. It was funny."
And Chrissy laughed it off this morning on the Today show. "I actually thought it was a silly, funny joke. I didn't know he was serious!" she said.
Beck himself was taking the high road, saying, "You can't please everybody, man. I still love him and think he's a genius, I aspire to what he does."
Cameras caught Kanye as he arrived at New York's JFK Airport, and he clarified his comments.
One paparazzi asked, "Kanye, when you said Beck needs to respect artistry, are you implying he's not an artist?"
Kanye replied, "No, I wasn't saying Beck, I said the Grammys. Beck knows Beyoncé should have won, you know that."
And, check this out! He actually gave up his American Music Award in 2008, handing it over to Lil Wayne.
He said, "I want to give this award to Wayne, for this year. If it was last year, this would have been my award. This year's Wayne's award."
Turns out Kanye isn't all talk.
