Twenty firefighters fought the blaze at the beach-front mansion in Malibu.
It started in the garage and spread to the main house.
Pierce's son was packing a guitar into the back of an SUV as the family prepared to find other shelter. Thankfully, no one was hurt.
Brosnan's neighbors, who live in Malibu where homes fetch upwards of ten million dollars, were taken aback.
One said, "They're very good neighbors and I feel sorry for them."
Today, the damage is clear as investigators try to determine the cause of the blaze.
