Some of the most talked about Oscar moments were awkward to say the least. INSIDE EDITION has the scoop.
Talk about awkward! Dakota Johnson squirmed on live TV when her mom, Melanie Griffith, was asked if she has seen her steamy performance in Fifty Shades of Grey.
Her mom said, "I don't think I can. I think it would be strange."
Dakota responded, "Oh I don't think so I think it's fine. I think that one day you can see it."
Some say Dakota seemed downright bratty. ABC censors deleted part of her remark.
And what was up with John Travolta?
First, he got a little touchy-feely on the red carpet with a none-too-pleased looking Scarlett Johansson.
Then, Travolta was introduced by singer Idina Menzel, whose name he famously mangled at last year's Oscars.
Social media went nuts. "Congrats John Travolta, you single handedly creeped out the #Oscars2015," said one tweet.
Travolta's odd behavior led to The Daily Beast headline: "How John Travolta Hijacked the Oscars."
Travolta responded to the firestorm on Jimmy Kimmel's post-Oscar show, saying, "Apparently I played with her chin too much."
And, there was another awkward Oscar moment.
Jaws dropped at Sean Penn's remark announcing Birdman director Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu's victory for Best Picture. He said, "Who gave this son of a (blank) his Green Card? Birdman."
The director, who was born in Mexico, laughed it off backstage, saying he and Penn are old friends. He added, "I didn't find him offensive, I thought it was very funny."
