Funky seniors recreated the “Uptown Funk” music video and you won’t be able to stop smiling while watching it.
Alex Boye, who creates Africanized versions of pop songs, sang the cover of the Mark Ronson song and enlisted grandparents ranging in age from 65 to 92 to break out their best dance moves. The epic music video mimics the original featuring Bruno Mars.
They replaced the car with a scooter and backup dancers with grandmas who can seriously move. A 92-year-old woman even did a split and everyone did all their own stunts.
You may recognize the ladies in the video as Jean Elliot’s “Golden Girls.” They are well known in the Utah area and often perform popular dance routines during half time at basketball games.
According to the description in the YouTube video, between all the participants they have raised 500 children, 1,200 grandchildren and 250 great grandchildren!
