The couple first began dating earlier this year.
Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson ended their engagement over the weekend, according to multiple reports.
“It was way too much too soon,” a source close to the 25-year-old singer told People magazine. “It’s not shocking to anyone.” TMZ was the first to report the news.
It was a whirlwind courtship for the couple, who first began dating earlier this year, just weeks after splitting from their previous partners. By June, they were engaged.
"The day I met her, I was like, 'Hey, I'll marry you tomorrow,'" Davidson, 24, told GQ magazine in August. "She was calling my bluff."
The joke was on her, however.
"I sent her a picture [of engagement rings]. I was like, 'Do you like any of these?' She was like, 'Those are my favorite ones,' and I was like, 'Sick.'"
But in recent weeks, Grande had struggled with the death of her ex-boyfriend rapper Mac Miller, who passed away from an apparent drug overdose in September.
Grande and Miller dated for two years before she began seeing Davidson.
"I adored you from the day I met you when I was nineteen and I always will," Grande posted on Instagram after Miller's death. "I can't believe you aren't here anymore. I really can't wrap my head around it."
