The singer also nearly fell off a chair as she sang her new song "Thank U, Next."
Ariana Grande got choked up performing her new song about her former lovers on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show."
Grande was there to debut her new song "Thank U, Next,” which is about the past men in her life including her former fiancé, Pete Davidson, the late Mac Miller, and rapper Big Sean.
The 25-year-old was decked out in white in homage to "The First Wives Club," which is said to be a favorite of hers.
The performance seemed to strike an emotional chord, as she became tearful during a verse about her parents.
"One day I’ll walk down the aisle, holding hands with my mama, I’ll be thinkin' 'bout dad, 'cuz she grew from the drama, only want to do it once real bad,” she sang, her voice cracking.
She powered through the difficult moment, ending her live performance with a big smile.
Following her performance, she was supposed to talk to DeGeneres immediately, but the host said Grande had left the set. However, she later returned.
Grande also tripped during her performance but recovered gracefully and laughed off the gaffe.
