“I thought it would be perfect for us because anytime we get together, we just laugh and act goofy," said Samantha Clark.
To celebrate 23 years of friendship, these South Carolina women decided to take part in a whimsical photo shoot.
Samantha Clark and best friend Christina Arthur of Aiken devoured wings, attempted to "shotgun" beers and sprayed each other with silly string while being photographed in a series that depicts all the ups and downs of their friendship.
“I thought it would be perfect for us because anytime we get together, we just laugh and act goofy and just straight up always have a good time with each other,” Clark told InsideEdition.com.
She explained that ever since their families began living next to each other when they were 7 years old, they were inseparable.
“We played softball together, learned to drive together,” Clark said. “We were side-by-side for both of our marriages and had each other’s back when we both divorced.”
Photographer Breanna Welch of Easy Breezy Photography said she reached out to them for the portraits to celebrate their unique relationship.
“We never take the time to have photos done with our best friends,” Welch told InsideEdition.com. “You see family sessions and couples sessions but you never see best friends’ sessions.”
To commemorate all they’ve been through, Clark and Arthur brought mementos from their friendship including wings from a local bar where they’ve spent many late nights talking.
To go along with their food, they decided to bring beers and attempt to “shotgun” them as a way of doing something new together.
“It went completely wrong and [Clark] drank from the top of the can,” Welch joked. “You can tell the two were literally made for each other. You can tell in their chemistry they’re going to be best friends forever.”
