Beth Chapman, Wife of Dog the Bounty Hunter, Dies at 51

Duane Chapman, aka Dog, took to Twitter to announce his wife's passing and bid farewell to her.

Beth Chapman, the wife of Duane Chapman, aka Dog the Bounty Hunter, has died at the age of 51.

On Wednesday, Duane took to Twitter to announce his wife's passing and bid farewell to her.

“It’s 5:32 in Hawaii, this is the time she would wake up to go hike Koko Head mountain,” he tweeted. “Only today, she hiked the stairway to heaven. We all love you, Beth. See you on the other side.”

In September 2017, the Chapmans announced that Beth had stage 2 throat cancer, but by that December she was declared cancer-free. However, the cancer returned this past November and she began undergoing aggressive chemotherapy.

In February, though, she announced she had stopped the treatments, which she called "poison."

In the days before Beth’s death, Duane had asked his followers to “please say your prayers for Beth right now.” She was put in a medically induced coma at Hawaii’s Queen’s Medical Center on June 22.

Beth and Duane first rose to fame in 2003 through the show "Dog the Bounty Hunter" and later followed it up with another show titled "Dog and Beth: On the Hunt.”

Beth is survived by her husband, their four children and 14 grandchildren.
