Bethenny Frankel is seeking full custody of their 8-year-old daughter, Bryn.
Bethenny Frankel wiped tears from her eyes as she testified in court Wednesday amid a bitter custody battle with her ex-husband.
“The Real Housewives of New York” star took the stand with her new boyfriend there for support as she seeks full custody of her 8-year-old daughter, Bryn. Frankel testified that her ex, Jason Hoppy, was emotionally abusive.
At one point Frankel asked the judge, "Can you direct Jason to stop glaring at me please?"
Emails revealed in court show the former couple feuded over their daughter being rejected from a prestigious private school.
Hoppy wrote to Frankel: "It seems that our daughter's being disadvantaged solely because of her mother."
Frankel shot back: "You're absurd. Pull it together."
Frankel and Hoppy officially divorced in 2016. Inside Edition caught up with family law attorney Deborah Blum about advice for the exes.
“Instead of seeking a change in custody, it really seems they have to find a way to move forward and co-parent better,” Blum said.
A child psychologist took the stand and testified that Frankel's eight year old daughter is doing well, adding that it's in her best interest that custody remains shared between Frankel and her ex-husband.
