ESTHER ANIMALU

Esther Animalu is an award-winning student journalist. She is from Queens, New York, and is double majoring in communication honors-broadcast journalism and political science at the University of Miami. Esther is a former contributor for TMZ, CNN, MSNBC and Verizon Media.

On-campus she serves as an editor for her campus newspaper, The Miami Hurricane, an on-air reporter for the campus television station, UMTV, and the UMiami chapter president of the National Association of Black Journalists. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and watching true crime documentaries.
