The former Ohio judge stabbed to death his wife.
Bodycam footage recently released shows the turbulent moments leading to the arrest of former Ohio judge Lance Mason for the murder of his ex-wife.
The Cuyahoga County Prosecutor's office made the police video public on Friday. It shows the tense standoff and chase of Mason at his Shaker Heights home, where his murdered ex, Aisha Fraser, lay dead on the driveway.
Officers can be seen descending on the suburban home, drawing their weapons and telling Mason to put his hands up. The cops, responding to a 911 call of a fatal stabbing, chase Mason across his yard and into his house, where his two daughters were hiding.
As he is brought out of the home, blood can be seen covering his hands, which are hooked behind his back.
He shakes his head and stares at the ground. "I can't believe I did this," he is heard saying.
He pleaded guilty in August to aggravated murder. He was sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole after 25 years.
He had been forced to step down from the bench in 2015 after pleading guilty to assaulting Fraser. He slammed her face several times into the dashboard of their car. He served less than a year in prison and was banned from practicing law.
