Rapper C Glizzy was shot in the head over the weekend, just days before the anniversary of his close friend XXXTentacion’s death.
The 16-year-old rapper, whose real name is Christian Moore, was gunned down Saturday in Pompano Beach, Florida, according to WPLG-TV.
While rushing him to the hospital, C Glizzy's brother crashed into a barrier on I-95, according to reports. Fortunately, C Glizzy eventually made it to Broward Health North hospital, where the teen underwent emergency surgery.
He is currently sedated, the New York Post reported.
A post on the rapper’s official Instagram Story read: "Glizzy still in the hospital keep him in your prayers."
Many fans are remarking on the uncanny timing of the shooting because the rapper was close friends with XXXTentacion.
“Cglizzy has been shot in the head two days before the anniversary of X’s death, the dudes only a teenager man wtf,” one person wrote on Twitter.
XXXTentacion was shot to death in Florida on June 18 last year during an armed robbery.
