When a chicken somehow got loose and blocked traffic in Nashville, authorities were called in. As it turns out, they bit off more than they could chew.
The bird outran everyone — except its own sweet tooth.
According to UPI, cops chased the bird through the city’s downtown before Officer Frank Campbell was able to catch it using a Little Debbie snack. Not even the chicken could resist the lure of an oatmeal creme pie.
As for its punishment — the bird won’t end up on a plate. Instead Metro Animal Control is taking care of it until it can be handed off to an animal rescue group.
