Leonardo DiCaprio had "no comment" when asked about the decades-old controversy.
Is Leonardo DiCaprio finally answering one of the great mysteries of filmmaking?
For 22 years, many have asked whether Jack could have survived the sinking of the Titanic, had Rose simply made some room on the piece of wood she was floating on.
DiCaprio portrayed Jack in the Oscar-winning film and during a recent MTV interview with his “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” co-stars Margot Robbie and Brad Pitt, the question came up.
“Oh my gosh, I thought it. I remember bawling my eyes out when I was,” Robbie interjected.
DiCaprio replied, “I have no comment.”
“I’m gonna go back and look now, shoot!” Pitt chimed in.
“That is the biggest controversy, I think,” Robbie added.
“Ever?” DiCaprio asked.
“In modern cinema,” she said.
The teasing was relentless.
“Could you? Could you have squeezed on there? You could have, couldn't you?” Pitt asked.
DiCaprio maintained his stoic disposition and repeated, “No comment.”
“Did you mention it at the time? Were you like, 'Should we make the door smaller?'” Robbie said.
DiCaprio insisted with a laugh, “I said I have no comment.”
“It's movie magic, my friends,” Pitt joked.
