The TV doctor happened to be on the New Jersey Turnpike as the scene unfolded.
Has Dr. Oz turned into a breaking news reporter?
The TV doctor captured dramatic footage of a bus consumed by fire as high school students ran from the flames over the weekend.
You can even hear him warning people against getting too close to the burning bus.
The high school students were en route back to Maryland after a field trip to New York City when the bus caught fire, according to WUSA.
Dr. Oz interviewed the bus driver, who told him the wheel of the bus had caught fire.
"Why did the whole bus catch on fire?" the doctor asked.
The bus driver company replied: "Those tires build up a lot of heat."
Dr. Oz posted about the incident and shared the video on his Facebook page.
"The passengers were students from a high school in Baltimore who were on their way home after seeing the musical Wicked in New York City," he said. "Luckily no one was hurt."
