The former Trump Organization employee says he isn't sure what is going to happen.
President Trump returned to Washington Thursday after talks of impeachment hit an all-time high, and his former aide think he's struggling to deal with it.
Barbara Res, a former executive of the Trump Organization who worked with Trump for many years, says in her opinion the president looked shell-shocked by the threat of impeachment.
"I think that this is scaring him, it is throwing him for a loop and I don’t think he knows which way to go or what is going to happen,” she told Inside Edition. “He doesn’t have the confidence which is rare. Very, very rare.”
Before he left New York City, Trump reportedly ranted about the situation when he met with the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations and members of her staff at The Intercontinental Hotel in Manhattan.
He called the media "scum" and animals" and "some of the worst human beings you'll ever meet," according to a recording secretly made of his comments that was leaked to The Los Angeles Times. He also called Joe Biden "dumb as a rock" and said he wanted to know the identity of the whistleblower, calling him or her "close to a spy."
