Along came a really, really big spider.
Or was it?
Dashcam video of a routine traffic stop has gone viral, thanks to a humongous arachnid that appears to be stalking a Fulshear police officer on the side of a Texas highway.
But the spider was just a regular-sized one that happened to be creeping across the windshield of the cop's patrol car, creating a terrifying optical illusion.
"Who needs Hollywood special effects?" reads a post on the department's Facebook page.
“This little guy was positioned perfectly on the windshield of the patrol car and gave our clerk, who was reviewing the video, quite the ‘Halloween scare.'”
