While the families are not blaming the shows, they are asking for more to be done.
Alexa McAllister was looking for love on The Bachelor but tragedy struck her family last month when the 32-year-old was found dead of an apparent suicide.

She is just the latest in an epidemic of more than 20 suicides of reality TV show contestants over the last decade.
Swimsuit model Gia Allemand was also a contestant on season 14 of The Bachelor. Gia made it to the final three but was ultimately rejected. She was only 29 when she hanged herself in August 2013.
Her mother Donna told IE: “She loved the attention. She thrived on it. My daughter came home really happy. She did fall in love on The Bachelor, Jake Pavelka. She came back so confident - that was short lived. A few months she was back to her insecurities.”
Donna noticed that she was “down in the dumps and devastated.”
“I was on the phone with her, telling me, 'I want to end my life,'” Donna said. “What I heard was her last breath. It was mumbling, ‘Your princess, your baby is gone.’”
On Kitchen Nightmares in 2007, Chef Joseph Cerniglia, a father of three, was berated by Gordon Ramsey. In 2010, he jumped off the George Washington Bridge to his death.

Simone Battle appeared on The X Factor in 2011 but she didn't make the cut. Three years after she was eliminated, she hanged herself. She was only 25.
None of the parents we spoke with say the shows are blaming the reality shows but they hope more can be done to put an end to such tragedies.
