Mark your calendars! Prince William and Kate Middleton have announced the date of their wedding, and where they plan to get married. INSIDE EDITION has the details.
Mark your calendars and save the date: April 29th, 2011, when Prince William will marry Kate Middleton.
The royal wedding will be held at Westminster Abbey, the iconic church where the funeral for William's mother Princess Diana was held.
"Westminster Abbey was very significant for him because that's where his mother's funeral took place. He's going to feel her presence on this big date, when of course he will miss his mother very much indeed," says Ingrid Seward, author of Royal Entertaining and Style.
The wedding date is also a subtle tribute to his late mother, she also got married on the 29th day of the month, July 29th, 1981.
The big announcement was made on the royal family's Twitter and Facebook pages, instantly sparking worldwide frenzy!
The happy couple says they're hoping for "good spring weather" and add that they were awed by Westminster Abbey's "staggering beauty."
William, a helicopter pilot, is back at work, but is said to be a very involved groom.
"What he's doing is calling in every 10 minutes with a new idea then he might get called off to rescue someone at sea."
"What he's doing, so Clarence House said, he's telephoning in every five minutes with a new idea," says Seward.
Meanwhile, Kate continues to captivate Americans. She currently graces the cover of four popular magazines, including Us Weekly.
The magazine includes a photo spread of the Prince and Kate throughout their childhoods.
