Animal control authorities in Maryland say there were hundreds of dogs and puppies, many covered in feces, at a breeder's home.
Three hundred dogs were rescued from a Maryland breeder's home during a raid by animal control authorities, officials said.
The dogs, most of them Pomeranians, were living under "unsatisfactory conditions" in a barn and a home in the town of Eden officials said.

Aaron Balsamo, Executive Director at Humane Society of Wicomico County, described squalid circumstances.

"There were pregnant dogs, there were puppies. They were not in good condition. Matted fur and their living conditions were not good at all," Balsamo told WBOC. "There was feces and things like that everywhere."
Balsamo said most of the dogs were in poor shape.
Lt. Tim Robinson, of the Wicomico County Sheriff's Office, said crews were worked from 10 a.m. to midnight to remove the dogs.

Footage from WBOC shows one animal matted and covered in filth.
No charges have been filed, according to the Wicomico County Sheriff's Office.
Meanwhile, the animals have been authorized for release to the county humane society, where overwhelmed officials put out a call for food and supply donations.
