The NASCAR star and son of late racing great Dale Earnhardt was reportedly on his way to the AAA Texas 500 in Fort Worth Sunday when his famous lead foot caught the attention of an area police officer.

Sensing the irony of the situation, Earnhardt's fiancee, Amy Reimann, snapped a photo of the traffic stop to share with the racecar driver's fans.
"My little speed racer. #WheelingIt #warning," Reimann wrote, suggesting Earnhardt was allowed to continue on his way with a warning.

Reimann didn't say how fast her fiancee was driving, but Earnhardt offered a hint in response to a tweet from a curious fan who asked that very question.
"Not fast enough," Earnhardt tweeted Sunday.

Earnhardt has reportedly started experiencing symptoms of a concussion in July. He announced plans to sit out the rest of the season in September.
Earnhardt plans to be back behind the wheel at the kickoff of next year's NASCAR season at the Daytona 500.
