The California man allegedly blasted the neighborhood for weeks, starting at about 4 a.m.
That’ll wake you up.
A California man has been arrested for disturbing the peace after he allegedly drove around a Los Angeles neighborhood blasting a train horn in the middle of the night, police said.
Residents of El Segundo had been complaining for weeks about an ear-splitting air horn going off at about 4 a.m. that jolted them out of bed and set their hearts pounding, authorities said.

Cruisers had been canvassing the area, but each time they followed the blasting sound, the perpetrator was gone by the time police got there.
Over the weekend, cops say they got lucky.
After hearing a massive blast, two officers followed the only car on the road at the time and pulled over the driver.
John Nuggent told officers he knew nothing about a loud horn, police said. But the patrol officers noticed an air compressor in the car, and a lever.

They pressed it and the same mighty noise rang out.
"So that’s the horn that came with the car?” one of the officers deadpanned, dashcam video shows.
Nuggent’s car was impounded and he was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of disturbing the peace, police said.
Neighbors rejoiced. “So glad they caught that fool!” wrote Michelle Mossman on the department’s Facebook page.
“It was this idiot that’s been waking us up!” posted Jennifer Phan.
