Aida Dominguez was hoping to get a video of a lightning strike when one literally struck a little too close to home.
It was a terrifying moment caught on camera as a Nevada woman was nearly struck by lightning.

Aida Dominguez was hoping to record video of a recent storm outside Las Vegas when she got much more than she bargained for.
“I was probably standing on my welcome mat,” she said. “I felt instant heat. I actually felt a sting to the front of my shin. I thought I was hit. It was the most powerful thing I had ever seen or heard.”

The lightning struck a light pole just feet from her Henderson home.
Dominguez was not seriously injured in what is being called a horrifying close call.
