"If you move, I will shoot you," Brittany Morse said she told the home invader.
A California mother held an alleged burglar at gunpoint while she waited for police to arrive.
Heart-pounding surveillance footage captured the moments leading up to when mom Brittany Morse trained the weapon on the intruder in her Taft house as she dialed 911 for help.
"If you move, I will shoot you," Morse told Inside Edition she told the man.
The incident started when Morse's daughter Aubrey opened the door leading to the garage and saw the strange man, Morse said. She slammed the door shut and ran to Morse.
"When my daughter told me there was someone in our house that was not allowed to be here, I am looking at all of my kids and I'm telling them to go down the hallway ... 'Go, go,'" she said.
The fearless mother ushered her children into a bedroom, then grabbed her gun and confronted the man in the garage, keeping her weapon trained on him while she waited for police to arrive.
When she heard sirens, she yelled for her son to let the cops in.
Aoreliorho Velasco, 25, was arrested and charged with first-degree burglary. He has pleaded not guilty.
"It's a little overwhelming at times, but I did the right thing," she said. "I protected my children."
