Unlike in the Miss America competition, the women in Miss USA will be walking the stage in bikinis.
The ladies of Miss USA took to the stage for the preliminary competition in Reno, Nevada, Tuesday, bikinis and all.
The rival Miss America pageant banned bikinis last year to a storm of controversy. In its place, the contestants were given more interaction with the judges to highlight their achievements and goals.
However, the Miss USA pageant is sticking with what's worked for it. All of the women will be competing in swimsuit and evening gown portions of the upcoming show.
Backstage, it was a whirlwind of activity as the ladies got ready by working out and focusing on showcasing their hard work.
The 2019 Miss USA Pageant will take place Thursday inside the Grand Sierra Resort and Casino.
