Is This the Oldest Working Stove in the US?

Joann Saladino and Marcus Weisgerber bought the General Electric appliance for $100 in 1979.

This Long Island couple's home has a stove that's nearly 100 years old — and it still works.

Joann Saladino and Marcus Weisgerber bought the General Electric appliance for $100 in 1979. Though it was built in 1923, it still looks pristine and works like a charm.

"I've been cooking on it since the day I got it," Saladino told Inside Edition.

Still, they admit they're surprised it's still going.

"It just kept on working," said Weisgerber.

It's not the only old appliance the couple owns. They also have a working fridge from 1930.

"We've been using it regularly since we had it," Weisgerber.
