The Wisconsin teen's grandfather had promised her a big steak if she was found.
A smiling Jayme Closs is seen enjoying a steak with her grandfather in a new photo shared by the family.
The heartwarming photo shared to the Facebook group Healing for Jayme Closs comes after her grandfather – worried sick for the 88 days of her disappearance – vowed to treat his 13-year-old granddaughter to a “big steak” once she was found.
“[We] were so blessed,” the photo caption read, “We had to share!!”
The Wisconsin teen is still continuing to recover at home after she escaped her captor last month, the Facebook group reported.
She was allegedly kidnapped and held captive for 88 days by 21-year-old suspect Jake Patterson, who is also accused of killing her two parents, James and Denise Closs, in October.
Authorities said he shot and killed her parents before dragging her out and forcing her into his car. He is accused of plotting her abduction after seeing her at a school bus stop.
He is charged with kidnapping, armed burglary and two counts of first-degree intentional homicide. If convicted of all charges, Patterson would face a mandatory sentence of life in prison.
His next court date is Feb. 6.
