Kelsey Berreth's Fiance Is a 'Gentle Soul' Who Would Never Hurt Anyone, Friend Says

The Colorado woman hasn't been seen since Thanksgiving.

As authorities continue the search for a missing Colorado mom, a friend is coming to the defense of the fiancé at the center of the mystery.

Police say Patrick Frazee is the last person to have seen his fiancée, 29-year-old Kelsey Berreth, on Thanksgiving Day and she has not been seen since.

Sonja Oliver, who says she has known Frazee for five years, told Inside Edition, "I've always considered him to be a gentle soul. Soft spoken and just really down to Earth and practical."

Oliver says she “couldn’t imagine him doing anything that would harm anyone.”

When asked by Inside Edition if she believes he had anything to do with Berreth’s disappearance, Oliver again stated, “I just can't imagine Patrick doing anything like that.”

Police searched Frazee's 35-acre ranch over the weekend to look for evidence in Berreth's disappearance. Investigators used a back hoe and cadaver dogs to scour the property, and his red pick-up truck was also driven away. But the search turned up no signs of the missing mother.

Berreth was last seen shopping on Thanksgiving Day at a Safeway supermarket near Colorado Springs. She then went to Frazee's farm to drop off their 1-year-old daughter.

“Like most relationships it has ups and downs but for the most part it's a good relationship,” Frazee’s lawyer said of his client’s relationship with Berreth when he spoke to Inside Edition.

Woodland Park Police Chief Miles De Young said, "We have yet to have him sit down with ... investigators and that’s what we’re asking for."

Frazee's lawyer said his client is cooperating with the investigation. Police won't say if he's a suspect.
