Their new son's middle name is Lane, after the toddler who died tragically in 2016.
The parents of a 2-year-old boy who was killed by an alligator at Disney World two years ago have welcomed another son.
Matt and Melissa Graves, whose son Lane was killed at the Florida park, shared the news Wednesday.
"We are happy to announce the birth of our son, Christian Lane Graves,” the couple said in a statement. “Although we know the pain of losing Lane will never go away, we feel God has blessed our family with this precious miracle of life.”
The Graves family said they know Lane is watching over their new son and their daughter, Ella.
Last year, Disney World unveiled a lighthouse statue dedicated to the toddler, who died after an alligator dragged him into the Seven Seas Lagoon while his was playing in shallow water. His dad tried to rescue him, but to no avail.
The family started the Lane Thomas Foundation after the tragedy, an organization dedicated to supporting families of children needing life-saving organ transplants.
In June, the parents paid tribute to their son on the two-year anniversary of his death.
"LT, we love you up to heaven and down to the grass. Hug, kiss, ugga mugga," they wrote in a post on the foundation's Facebook page. "We will fight every day to keep your memory alive and make a positive difference in your name."
