Just days before she was arrested on drug possession charges with her boyfriend, Mama June's family had staged an intervention to plead with her to get healthy.

Fans got a look at the emotional family gathering in the season finale of "Mama June: From Not to Hot" on Friday. June Shannon, 39, walked into her sister's house as her daughters and niece waited for her.

"Today is your intervention," Shannon's sister Doe Doe said.

Pumpkin, 19, told her mom that she didn't care about her own health. "I'm concerned about you. We care about you. ... It’s like everybody’s trying to get you back healthy and you have tunnel vision and the only person you see is Geno,” she said, talking about Shannon's boyfriend, Geno Doak.

Honey Boo Boo, 13, then explained to her mother why she doesn't live with her anymore. "I would love to come home and stay with you, tell you about my day, but I can’t do that because I’m scared. I’m scared to stay at your house," Honey Boo Boo said, crying.

However, the intervention didn't go as well as the family had hoped. Shannon left the house and the family, along with a therapist and two producers, followed after her.  Shannon said she often cries to Doak and tells him that she hates herself.

“I don’t know if I want to kill myself-kill myself or I want to kill the person that has took over my body," Shannon said.

After convincing the matriarch to get help, the family drove her to a treatment facility in North Carolina. Shannon checked in but checked out "after only 12 hours," the show revealed.

Shannon and Doak were arrested two days later at a gas station in Alabama. According to TMZ, authorities arrived after callers reported two people in a confrontation. Shannon allegedly had crack cocaine and a crack pipe with her when she was arrested, and Doak was charged with third-degree domestic violence, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The two were seen in photos in the back of a sheriff's truck before being taken to jail.

Honey Boo Boo said on the show that she had bad feelings about her mom leaving the facility. “As soon as Geno got mama from the treatment center, I knew it was over from there. Mama just got charged with a possession of crack cocaine, which is a felony,” she said.

The show revealed that although Doak was ordered to stay away from Shannon, the two remain together in Alabama. Shannon is awaiting trial and could face several years in jail.
