Johnny Lawrence Johnson faces up to 50 years in prison.
A California man has been convicted of sexually assaulting a young female relative for two years until he was caught abusing her on a ride at Disneyland, according to reports.
Johnny Lawrence Johnson, 47, was found guilty Thursday of four felony counts of lewd or lascivious acts with minor under 14 years of age and two felony counts of sexual intercourse or sodomy with child 10 years or younger, the Orange County District Attorney's Office said.
Johnson sexually assaulted the girl when she would visit him in the Long Beach area in the summers of 2013 and 2014, District Attorney Rick Zimmer told Patch.
He also at one point lived with the girl and her family.
The child, who lived in Texas at the time, was 9 years old when the abuse first started.
The abuse finally came to an end on March 12, 2015 when the little girl was 11.
Johnson and the victim were on the Dune Buggy ride in the Haunted Mansion’s graveyard scene at Disneyland when an employee saw the child performing a sex act on him, Zimmer told Patch.
A supervisor also saw suspicious activity on a camera, according to the news site.
Johnson faces up to 50 years in prison.
He will be sentenced on Dec. 11, online records show.
