He plans to take a vacation with his winnings.
A Maryland man wanted to try his luck at the lottery with numbers he thought would win.
Edgardo Antido, 59, said the digits he used were the same as the winning Ultralotto numbers he spotted when he was watching a Philippines TV channel last week.
He decided to try those numbers, 3-12-16-36-38, and it turned out in his favor. He won a $50,000 prize.
"I was so shocked, I couldn't sleep," Antido said.
He said he plans to take a vacation now.
