1,500-Year-Old Wine Factory Uncovered by Archeologists in Israel

Was this the Napa Valley of the Byzantine era? Researchers in Israel say they have unearthed an enormous wine factory unlike anything they’ve found before. The site is estimated to be 1,500 years old and the size of a football field. The Israel Antiquities Authority says a place like this was probably producing more than half a million gallons of wine a year.
