18-Year-Old US Olympic Gymnast Quarantined After COVID-19 Positive Test

The United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee confirmed Monday that Kara Eaker, an alternate on the women’s artistic gymnastics team tested positive for COVID-19 just days ahead of the Olympics in Tokyo. The 18-year-old doesn’t have any symptoms, according to her father who spoke to Inside Edition, but she has tested positive multiple times despite being fully vaccinated with the Pfizer vaccine. The stock market took a deep plunge today in fears of a pandemic resurgence.
