85-Year-Old Great-Grandfather Helps Fight Off Armed Robbers

An 85-year-old man helped thwart a robbery at an Irish betting parlor. Denis O'Connor was in the Bar One Racing office in County Cork when a group of armed, masked subjects entered the establishment. As one of the masked would-be robbers demanded the contents of the shop's safe, O'Connor approached an accomplice. The great-grandfather struggled with the alleged bandit and chased him out the door with a chair. "It was an incredible act of bravery," the shop's manager said.
