Accused Stepmom Arrives at Court in 20-Year Captivity Case
A woman dubbed the "Evil Stepmom" arrived at court Wednesday. Prosecutors say Kimberly Sullivan's emaciated stepson was a prisoner in her Connecticut home for 20 years. Tracy Vallerand, his biological mother, came face-to-face with the stepmom in court. Vallerand said she learned her son's fate with the rest of the country when he set a fire in a room in Sullivan's house. Sullivan is expected to plead not guilty. Her lawyer claims her stepson could have left the house any time he wanted.
