Alaska Hiker Accidentally Shoots Himself While Fighting Massive Bear
August 25, 2024
A hiker accidentally shot himself while fighting a 400-pound brown bear in Alaska. As the massive bear pounced, Tyler Johnson was somehow able to grab his pistol and shoot. However, he accidentally shot himself above his knee. His other leg was in worse shape after the bear bit into it. Fortunately, Johnson's dad wrapped his son's leg in a makeshift tourniquet and signaled for help using his satellite service. Two hours later, a helicopter came to the rescue.
