More than two years into the Covid pandemic, many of us have gotten pretty good at rolling with the punches. So when several contestants on “American Idol” tested positive, producers improvised and went on with the show. Fritz Hager was still able to perform with his rehearsal footage and appeared live in quarantine. Noah Thompson performed in isolation inside his hotel room, wowing the judges.
