Homeowner Burned After Falling on Hot Landscape Rocks

An Arizona homeowner was badly burned when he fell on some scorching-hot landscape rocks in his backyard and tried to pick himself up. "The skin had peeled off my palms like the skin from an onion and it looked like raw hamburger underneath," Robert Woolley says. As hot as it is during this nationwide heatwave in the U.S., sidewalks can be much hotter. Half of the burns-unit patients at one Las Vegas hospital are victims of pavement burns.
