On the first anniversary of the insurrection at the Capitol, President Biden addressed the nation from Statuary Hall, which was breached by rioters on Jan. 6 2021. He didn’t mention Donald Trump by name, but he launched his strongest attack on his predecessor to date, saying, “His bruised ego matters more to him than our democracy or our Constitution. He can’t accept he lost!” Tony Dokoupil of CBS Mornings told Inside Edition it was a “calculated effort to get under the former president’s skin.”
