Black Man Says He Rented a House for the Weekend and Neighbors Called the Cops

It can put a damper on a holiday, but questioning if they will be welcomed is a reality for many Black travelers. Stefan Grant told Inside Edition Digital's The Issue while he was renting an Airbnb property in Atlanta, neighbors of the home called the police thinking that he and his friends were burglars. Airbnb has released a report in 2016 on how it will combat discrimination on its platform and updated it in 2019, but some say racism permeates throughout their travel experiences.
